What is now the Apple Cottage B&B was built in 1877 as a parsonage for the Methodist Episcopal Church. It was restored in 2005 with its original wood floors, beaded ceilings and plastered walls. The exterior of this fachwerk style home was stuccoed several years later. You’re welcome to wander around the immediate neighborhood to view other historic structures.

What an wonderfully restored thick cut sandstone home. This historical treasure was built in 1889. It was deeded to the Methodist Episcopal Church in 1904. During these early years the very large two-room basement served as a Texas Itinerant Commercial College. The church later sold the Parsonage for a family home. The Parsonage was completely renovated in 2018 and ready to host guests from all over the world. Enjoy the roomy bedrooms, four poster beds and antique claw foot tub. Walk to the historic town square and enjoy all our community has to offer.
